Persepsi Mahasiswa Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia terhadap Mata Kuliah Umum Bahasa Arab di Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia
Abstract
Arabic Language (MKU) is one of the Compulsory Courses for all University faculty and Department in UAI. The teaching aims to provide basic skills to communicate in Arabic. Evaluation is required for the development and improvement of teaching quality and student learning outcomes. This study aims to find out students’ perceptions of the existence of Arabic Language, the material being taught, and teaching methods, and lecturer in Arabic Language. This is a survey research method, is descriptive. Samples were randomly selected. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis was performed using statistical techniques-descriptive. Through this study revealed that students demonstrate awareness and positive attitudes towards the importance of Arabic language and Arabic lecture presence in UAI. UAI students’ perceptions of the Arabic, materials, teaching methodology, teachers and lecturers were positive with the hope of achieving the maximum and the development of an optimal and effective programs for the improvement of Arabic language skills of students.
