Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Berbasis Partisipatif dalam Pengelolaan Limbah Diapers di Desa Junrejo
Abstract
Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan limbah diapers menjadi langkah strategis untuk merespons meningkatnya permasalahan sampah rumah tangga yang sulit terurai dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Di Desa Junrejo, Kota Batu, limbah diapers teridentifikasi sebagai salah satu jenis sampah dominan yang belum dikelola secara optimal akibat rendahnya pengetahuan ekologis, keterampilan teknis, dan praktik pengelolaan masyarakat. Program Rediapered Action dikembangkan sebagai model pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis partisipatif melalui tahapan survei, musyawarah, sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung pengolahan limbah diapers menjadi produk bernilai guna, seperti tas, pot tanaman, dan produk kerajinan lainnya. Kegiatan ini melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif sejak tahap identifikasi masalah hingga implementasi solusi bersama. Evaluasi program dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui observasi partisipatif, diskusi reflektif, dan keterlibatan peserta selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil pemberdayaan menunjukkan adanya indikasi perubahan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap limbah diapers, dari sekadar sampah residu menjadi material yang memiliki potensi guna, serta berkembangnya keterampilan awal dalam pemilahan dan pengolahan limbah. Selain itu, program ini menghasilkan output nyata berupa produk daur ulang yang merepresentasikan transformasi limbah menjadi sumber daya yang lebih produktif. Rediapered Action menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis partisipatif berpotensi menjadi model intervensi sosial-lingkungan dalam pengelolaan limbah spesifik rumah tangga sekaligus memperkuat kesadaran ekologis, kapasitas teknis, dan potensi ekonomi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.
