Pengaruh Ideologi Politik Islam di Indonesia Terhadap Partai Politik di Indonesia. Studi Kasus Partai Keadilan Sejahtera

Abstract

Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (Justice and Prosperity Party) better known as PKS, which was established in 1998 in Jakarta, often associated as Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwanul Muslimin/ IM) branch in Indonesia. The PKS ideology shared similarities with IM, which is the political Islam. This can be seen by looking at the ideological base of PKS which is Islam, not Pancasila. The purpose of this research is to see whether PKS is the branch of IM in Indonesia. This research was conducted using qualitative method. Interviews with PKS members in Jakarta and library research were conducted to gather the data. The time taken to conduct this research were four months and was taken place in Jakarta. From the research that was done, it can not be proven whether there is any connection between PKS and IM. There is no sufficient data to prove that PKS is IM branch in Indonesia. Pragmatic steps that often taken by PKS in conducting political affairs, are contrary to that of IM. The PKS members also rejecting the idea that PKS is affiliated with IM.
